Dear Betty: I am enclosing an ad from the Chronicle newspaper of Thursday, March 21st, about the PrincessProject which is helping high school seniors throughout the city of San Francisco, to be able to attend their prom who may otherwise not afford to.
When I called one of the organizers named in this article, she informed me there are quite a few Galileo students already involved in this project. I am therefore, going to put before the Board of the newly organized GAA the idea of contributing to this fund or perhaps starting a new one to help all the students not just the girls, but the boys too, in some way, i.e.. paying for flowers, dinners, limos, make -up (cosmetic) kits, anything else that is needed to make their night a memorable one.
I'm forwarding this news article to you, as well as the committee, as well as others and also Phil Kaiser in Colorado, whose web site reaches a tremendous number of alumni we otherwise would not be able to reach, in an effort to inform everyone who may not otherwise be aware of this wonderful project and to let them know what I will be bringing up at the next meeting of the association on April 11 at the school, Room 210 on Thursday night.
